Abstract

Highlights Fundamentals of femtosecond laser-matter interaction are presented. Fabrication strategies based on femtosecond laser direct writing are reviewed. Diverse stimulus-responsive structures by femtosecond laser direct writing are summarized. Functional applications of these stimulus-responsive structures are discussed.
