Abstract

A new diterpene having antimicrobial activities was isolated from the leaves and twigs of Chamaecyparis pisifera Endle (Cupressaceae), and named pisiferic acid. The structure was shown to be 12-hydroxyabieta-8,11,13-trien-20-oic acid. © 1978, Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry. All rights reserved.
