Abstract

A review of urban climate studies using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model is presented. First, a brief description of WRF is presented. Second, three urban parameter-ization schemes in WRF are introduced. Third, urban heat island studies are summarized, including some results in related fields. Recent studies on urban rainfall are also summarized. Finally, some future issues are described.
