Abstract

This research analyzes the perception of three cohorts of second-year university students in relation to gender inequality in classrooms of a Spanish university and of another Chilean university. Two of these groups (94 students) belong to masculinized curricular contexts, such as studies of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport. The other group formed by 47 students of the Degree of Education Primary acts as a comparative reference. The methodology of the research has a qualitative approach and the analysis of the data obtained was carried out with the software AQUAD 6. The results shows that, despite the statistical reality that reflects the low female representation in sport, students are not too aware of the subtle forms of exclusion experienced by women in the classroom and the impact it might have on their career.
