INFOGRAFIK SEJARAH DALAM MEDIA SOSIAL: TREN PENDIDIKAN SEJARAH PUBLIK

Abstract

This study aims to describe the trends in public history education in the current digital era. The main focus highlighted is the presence of one digital product in the form of historical infographics that are commonly found on Instagram social media. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is done through documentation and study of literature. Data analysis was performed with a qualitative analysis of the inductive model. The results of the study explained that currently public history is not merely presented conventionally. Public historical trends have followed the development of the digital era by utilizing the existence of various social media. Historical infographics have become one of the digital products that thrives on social media, especially Instagram, with various types of offerings. As a visual display, historical infographics present brief, concise, and interesting historical information. This can be an effective alternative to public history education in the digital age in bringing history closer to society. A golden opportunity to foster awareness of the history of the nation in the hearts of every citizen.
