Abstract

Integrating macro-and micro-level human resource management research and using a large multi-company data set, we found the mediating role of employees' individual as well as collective perceptions of high performance work systems (HPWS) in influencing the HPWS-outcome relationship, and the moderating role of employee-oriented organizational culture in increasing the consistency between use of HPWS and employees' perceptions of HPWS.
