Abstract

2-[4?-(p-Acetamidophenylcarbonyl) piperazin-1?-yl]-3-(arylthioureidocarbonyl) pyridines (IV) have been prepared from (III) by using 4-(p-acetamidophenylcarbonyl) piperazine. The structures of new compounds have been established on the basis of elemental analyses, IR and 1H NMR spectral data. The antibacterial activity was determined for all the, synthesized compounds.
