Abstract
The article examines the metabolic responses during water walking (WW) in Japanese men and women from younger age to elderly. Results of the study suggest that exercise intensity is higher in women than in men. The study finds out that absolute intensity was similar in both genders due to the walking speed during WW. It also suggests that metabolic equivalent (MET) references with rating of perceived exertion (RPE) at some WW speeds.
