Abstract

We report a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) based sensing system for the real-time temperature profiling during a ferromagnetic nanoparticles (NPs)-enhanced microwave ablation. The obtained thermal maps show that injection of NPs solution helps enlarge the ablation lesion by about 20% compared to a standard MWA.
