Abstract
The senior author,in cooperation with researchers in several countries,published a book titled, "Creativity Education in the World"(2005;in Japanese) .The present article,based on the material ir that book,briefly summarizes United Kingdom,Germany,and creativity education in China,Taiwan, Japan,the United States,the Finland, and presents several propositions and tasks concerning future creativity education in Japan.In the developed countries except for Japan,creativity introduced into academic programs. In contrast,Japan is attempting to introduce is actively being in elementary middle,and high schools curricula that foster a"zest for living,"a concept that has various meanings but is not the same concept of creativity that has had a long history of scientific research and practice This difference is one of the factors causing confusion in present-day education in Japan.In order tc have a precise evaluation of the results of an educational practice,it is necessary to execute it based or an academically established Key Words:creativity, concept,such as creativity. creativity education, worldwide curriculum,teaching to foster creativity , elementary and secondary curriculum
