Quality Education and Human Rights in the 21st Century: Deciphering SDG 4

Abstract

The quest for quality education in the 21st century, always in relation to human rights and fundamental rights, can be crystallized through Sustainable Development Goal 4. This SDG takes on even greater relevance, since quality education must be reconciled with technological transformations to ensure that no one is discriminated against. However, this path is not without its challenges, as issues such as the digital divide, data protection and the need to promote digital skills must be taken into account. This work addresses the topic from a brief exegesis of the human right to education, the challenges and aspirations in the search for inclusive and quality education, its relationship with SDG number 4 of the 2030 Agenda and its goals, to conclude with an examination of the perspectives and challenges of SDG number 4 in relation to education in the digital age.
