Abstract

Introduction: Physiological and structural differentiation of the pilosebaceous unit occur typically in general population, such changes are usually very prominent in adolescents with increased sebaceous and apocrine secretions. Knowledge of such changes and associated factors has not been adequately described among secondary school students in Nigeria. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among public secondary school students of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI) Staff School. All data collected were analyzed with IBM version 25.0. Chi-square test and binary logistic regression were used in bivariate and multivariate analyses to determine significance. P<0.05 was taken as significant.
