Abstract

In this chapter it is intended to look at the methods available for System Identification and how they can be linked in with information which may already have been obtained relating to the plant. Generally this involves applying statistical tests to the set of plant input-output data in order to estimate both the model order and the respective values of the parameters within a model of that order.
