Abstract
The city of Surabaya is one of the big cities in Indonesia which has been considered successful in overcoming waste which is still a difficult problem to manage in Indonesia, as evidenced by the award in the environmental field. The Jambangan Recycling Center (PDU) is one of the Waste Processing Sites (TPS) in the city of Surabaya which is a role model in waste management because it has four types of waste processing, namely Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae, Waste Power Plant (PLTSa) , TPS Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (TPS3R), and also compost. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Integrated Sustainable Waste Management model is run in order to see the aspects that make a waste management system sustainable, where in this theory there are 3 (three) aspects, namely Stakeholders, Elements of Waste Management (Waste System Management). , and other supporting aspects. This research was conducted at PDU Jambangan in June 2022. The data were collected in several ways, namely: observation, documentation and conducting interviews with several sources who were considered close to the focus of this research and analyzed qualitatively in this study. The results showed that the waste management system run by PDU Jambangan succeeded in reducing the waste deposited into the Benowo TPA by 60-80% which was able to reduce the burden of the TPA and increase the life of the TPA and TPS.
