Abstract
With the development of smart home technology and meta-verse technology, people tend to combine the two technologies to build a more appealing experience. In this context, the concept of Meta-Home (digital twin of smart home) has been proposed, however, there is little research related to the theoretical framework and design practice of Meta-Home. This article first introduces the design strategies on how to build Meta-Home from the theoretical level, then carries out design practices in a real smart home environment based on the theoretical framework, and evaluates through user experiments to explore the platform's efficiency in appliance management and usage. The framework, practical experience, and research insights can provide inspiration and guidance for future researchers of the design of digital twin and smart home.
