Abstract

Racial discrimination is one factor that contributes to racial and ethnic disparities in health. Eliminating racial and ethnic disparities is both a civil and a public health challenge, and the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is working to eliminate discriminatory barriers that may prevent communities of color accessing quality health care.
