Abstract

The purpose of this work is to describe how subnational governments in Mexico used websites for active transparency to inform about Covid-19 pandemic. The ease of communication through technological means such as the Internet, social networks and mobile phones has led to the circulation of misinformation about the pandemic. For this reason, it is considered essential that the authorities, in this case federal entities, may publish official information about the pandemic through active transparency, by means of websites, whether institutional or portals. In conclusion, this article analyzes public information on websites considering the information publication variables proposed by the UN in a 2020 e-government study.
