Abstract

The dynamics of bimolecular photoinduced electron transfer from the doublet excited state of the anion radical of N,N′-dioctylnaphthalene diimide (NDI) have been investigated using picosecond transient absorption and fluorescence lifetime decay analysis. Stern-Volmer quenching studies afford the bimolecular quenching rate constants (kq) for 18 acceptors.
