Abstract
The authors are interested in the eutectic processing of chloride compds. and decided to focus on NH4+ based compds. that can provide sufficient insight in the fundamental chem. 10 Types of NH4+ based chloride compds. NH4Cl, methanaminium chloride, dimethylammonium chloride, trimethylammonium chloride, Me4NCl, dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride, hexadecyltrimethylammonium chloride, phenyltrimethylammonium chloride, benzyltrimethylammonium chloride and (vinylbenzyl)trimethylammonium chloride were used. This research led to a hypothesis that the NH4+ based chloride compds. could be reacted with urea through complexation reaction giving eutectic mixts. However, functional groups have plays an important role to influence m.ps. of these eutectic mixts. This is regarded to be a motivating finding that will be important for the most future research work involving complexation reaction for the prodn. of eutectic mixts. [on SciFinder(R)]
