Abstract

Benzoxazole derivatives have been prepared through the reaction of substituted 2-aminophenols and acyl chlorides in the presence of catalytic amount of In(OTf)3 under solvent-free reaction conditions in good to excellent yields. The method is simple, convenient, environmental-friendly, efficient and practical. © 2010 SIOC, CAS, Shanghai, & WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
