Abstract

Two recent papers center on the emerging intersection of DNA methylation and homeostatic plasticity. To better appreciate the context of these studies, we fi rst briefl y review the mechanistic connections between DNA methylation and plasticity before delving into the ways in which these two papers fortify the connection between synapse and nucleus but also highlight the need for studies with a broader perspective.
