Abstract

In relation to the Reaktor Daya Eksperimental (RDE) Program, the site and environment evaluation has been conducted, especially the identification of geological, hydrology, seismicity, volcanology, land use and demography characteristics. The research objectives are to obtain baseline data of site and environmental characteristics which include identification of stratigraphic data (lithology, soil/ rock layer), geological structure, volcanology, seismicity, hydrogeology, land use and demography. Site and environmental evaluation studies in 5 km radius. Site evaluation methodologies were conducted with literature and field geology, seismicity and environmental (land use and demography) studies. Results of the study, e.g. that there is no indication of active tectonic structure or active volcanism in the RDE site radius of 5 km, indicate that the data of site and environmental characteristics in the RDE nuclear facility area is safe and fulfill the requirement.
