Abstract

Automatic DNA sequencing and fragment analysis applications have increased dramatically during the last few years. We describe here the introduction of a new unattended operation DNA sequencer based on capillary electrophoresis technology and simultaneous fluorescence detection for a variety of applications and the development of a new recombinant thermostable sequencing enzyme (Amplitaq FS1 DNA polymerase) for fluorescence sequencing.
