Abstract

We report the continuity of interest of women in physics in Malaysia from the secondary school level through the undergraduate and graduate levels and involvement in the working environment. Positive developments are obvious as the percentage of women in top management positions in the public sector has increased from 19 in 2004 to 25 in June 2010. To increase this percentage in the future, we are analyzing the cause of «loss of interest» at the undergraduate's level to pursue a career in a physics-related field. © 2013 American Institute of Physic.
