Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review the existing criteria and to propose a new scale based on the results of field tests of 91 steel joist- and steel beam-concrete slab floor systems. Various scales of determining the acceptability of steel beam- and steel joist-concrete slab floor systems subject to occupant-induced floor vibrations have been reviewed and compared.
