Abstract

This study examines the strategies of elementary school teachers in improving student reading literacy in the digital era, considering the low interest in reading that is influenced by the dominance of digital media. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach with interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed interactively using the Miles and Huberman model, through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results show that strategies for developing reading habits, utilizing conventional media, and digital literacy based on multimodal technology have been proven to improve both students' reading ability and interest. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating traditional and digital literacy and the need to strengthen teachers' capacity in digital literacy to create a sustainable reading culture.
