Recent developments in the field of multidrug therapy and future research in chemotherapy of leprosy

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to summarize what is known about the microbial population present in multibacillary cases of leprosy and the response of these microbial populations to the drugs administered during the course of chemotherapy. Finally a series of leads for future research in chemotherapy of leprosy are proposed.
