Abstract

Ring-opening polymerization (ROP) studies of cyclic acetals, ethers, esters, and esters of phosphoric acids developed in Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies in ódŸ is concisely reviewed. Main attention is paid to results of a more general importance for polymer science, as seen from a personal perspective of the authors of this article. Mostly thermodynamics and kinetics in connection with mechanism of the ROP is discussed.
