Abstract

In this paper we present a light-emitting diode (LED) - based illumination bench which is able to perform at variable illumination levels for the characterization of solar cell Current (I) - Voltage (V) curves. Spatial uniformity was optically simulated. Spectral response of the LED used was also determined and shown here. Thermal management on cells and on LED has been studied. First results have been obtained, showing its viability to characterize cells at low concentration with a reasonable accuracy after an appropriate calibration.
