Abstract

In the realm of sociology, women and men are in a balanced position. The occurrence of violence against women gave rise to a feminist movement that aims to reconstruct the ideal role and function of women. One of the cases that is difficult to be exposed to the public sphere is the problem of violence against women. Violence against women is an important issue, because it is full of sociological aspects. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, cases of domestic violence are increasing due to a lack of income sources to support daily needs. As a form of government concern for the increasing cases of violence, Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU PKDRT) was issued. It is hoped that these laws and regulations can provide protection and a sense of security for victims.
