Refracting system for annular laser beam transformation

Abstract

A refracting optical system is designed for the transformation of an annular laser beam to a uniform circular beam. The optical surfaces of the proposed system are easy to fabricate as they involve moderate dii values of ra- of curvature. The change in the radii of curvature is found to be gradual throughout the surface. © 1987 Optical Society of America.
