Abstract
Studies on environmental perception (AP) reveal how human beings understand the environment in which they are inserted and how some factors are associated in the formation of environmental awareness. Although the AP can be to approach from different perspectives, the profile of respondents and sustainable practices are the most relevant factors in the subject at hand. Regarding the PA of public administration employees and, more specifically, about the Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (A3P), the data are small. This study aimed to verify quantitatively and qualitatively the level of PA of social groups: technical-administrative public servants (SPA); outsourced servers in the category of administrative assistant (STA); fellows (B); and general services assistant (ASG), in a public higher education institution. For this, a questionnaire was applied and an Environmental Perception Index (IPA) was developed. The research had a sample size N = 80. The analysis of the responses showed a statistical difference between the IPA of the employees and the education factor (p = 0.03), thus indicating the importance of BP as a diagnostic tool to assist in the preparation and implementation public policies, as well as in actions that involve environmental awareness.
