Abstract

The establishment of International Criminal Court (ICC) is a pivotal solution to address gross violations of human rights. Rome statute, a fundamental formation, has the authority to investigate several types of crimes such as, genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of aggression. The existence of ICC has been modifying the enforcement of international criminal law from indirect enforcement to direct enforcement. Regarding to the Indonesian context, the ICC will fully support the process of human rights violations which regulated in Act number 26, in 2000 concerning the Human Rights Court.
