COMMENT: MATCHING, STATISTICS, AND COMMON SENSE

Abstract

Refutes the criticism of E. Mullins et al (1983) and J. H. Wearden and I. S. Burgess (see record 1983-20350-001) on the present author's (see record 1981-11945-001) study of choice experiments. The author maintains that his previous conclusions are still valid. It is suggested that additional experiments are needed to understand why time slopes generally exceed response slopes and what factors cause the slopes to vary.
