Abstract

The ability of today's organizations to confront and adjust to "market upheaval, technological disruption, demographic churning, and political instability" (Clark & Gottfredson, 2008, p. 2) may predict their longevity and overall success. Leaders that establish skills within their teams that lead to higher levels of learning agility may assist an organization in meeting the challenges of unpredictability in future markets. Examining the alternative ways in which virtual team leaders approach leadership may provide organizations with action steps as to how to become more agile in practice.
