Abstract

Semiconductor nanowire show promising properties in nanoelectronic and nanophotonic devices. The nearfield photoluminescence spectra of CdS nanoribbon indicated the luminescent light waveguide behavior. The stimulated emission from the two-phonon bound excitons was also observed at room temperature in this nanoribbon with intense ns laser pumping. © 2006 IOP Publishing Ltd.
