This research analyzes how strategy as social practice occurs in the construction of a gender perspective in public policy. Qualitative research was carried out in the Municipal Public Policy Coordinating Committee for Women (CMPPM) of Florianopolis (SC). Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documental analysis. It was found that practices (activities) and how they are carried out (praxis) by practitioners shape strategy as social practice because of the interactions between society and the internal environment, and because they also affect the creation of these actions and policies, which seek to minimize inequality between the genders in this municipality.
