Abstract

ASP and PHP are programming languages mostly used for creating websites. Unlike static HTML websites, ASP and PHP are used for creating dynamic websites and they enable interaction and exchange of information among users. User’s data is saved in the database. ASP (Active Server Pages) is a type of program that works with Microsoft and IIS (Internet Information Server). On the other hand, PHP or Hypertext Preprocessor works with Linux or Unix. PHP programs can run in Windows, Solaris, Unix and Linux, while ASP can run only on Windows based platforms. Here is represented a comparison between programming languages PHP and ASP, and results are from multiple websites.
