Abstract

Calcium antagonists are a heterogeneous group of drugs that affect not only different channels but different parts of the same channel. These differences translate into different renal hemodynamic effects. This Commentary discusses the implications of these differences for surrogate markers of outcome. © 2008 International Society of Nephrology.
