Abstract

This report describes the findings in a young woman with Takayasu's disease, resulting in angina pectoris due to severe narrowing of the left coronary ostium. The patient underwent aortocoronary bypass surgery. The disappearance of angina, with reversal of positive findings on the treadmill exercise test, was noted postoperatively. Selective coronary angiography should be performed in patients with Takayasu's disease with a positive exercise test and symptoms of chest pain. © 1982, International Heart Journal Association.
