Abstract

A polarization-dependent infrared reflectivity study on oriented single crystals in the range of 100-500 cm-1 was performed to investigate the optical phonon modes in the stannite Cu2CdSnS4 semiconductor. Based on the symmetry analysis and multi-oscillator model calculation, we determine the parameters of B2 and E polar modes. The values of high frequency ϵ∞ and static ϵ0 dielectric constant are 7.69 and 10.01 for Eǁc and 6.53 and 8.81 for E⊥c polarization directions.
