Abstract
Morphological, biochemical, antigenic features and experimental infection are reported with reference to 11 cases comprising 6 adult meningoencephalitis, 2 of sepsis, 1 urogenital infection and 2 perinatal forms. Despite the availability of useful drugs, the prognosis is very poor, especially at ages above 50, because this infection attacks people already suffering other severe processes.
