Abstract

Web-based remote education mainly depends on computer networkand multimedia technology supplemented with geographically dispersedteachers and students, making teachers and students carry out teaching informationinteraction through the Internet. Compared with other disciplines, remoteeducation is rarely applied in Physical Education (PE) discipline. However,PE discipline is a bilateral teaching activity, featured with strong practicalnessand participation. Thus, remote PE teaching can make full use of teachingresources, improve the efficiency of teaching management, and more effectivelycomplete PE teaching activities. This paper first introduces the researchbackground, carries out applied analysis of key technologies, such as WEBtechnology, streaming media technology and database technology, designs theoverall structure model and functional module of the system, and then completesdesign and development of remote network PE teaching platform in collegesand universities.
