Abstract

An attempt was made to develop a human-robot interface using an extended digital desk for guiding and teaching robot tasks. Two levels of interaction were developed: virtual operational panel (VOP) for primitive robot operations; and interactive image panel (IIP) for intuitive teaching using project live image of the task environment. Experiments of teaching robot tasks demonstrate usefulness of the proposed system.
