Abstract
A thermal technique of cooling of the attic of a house with Antananarivo (Madagascar) was studied for the hot and wet period. Ventilation of the attic or insulation of the sheet roof was considered. The temperature of the air in the attic was given during 24 hours by taking the day of January 21 for each one of these two techniques. To the maximum, a reduction in 2,5°C for ventilation and a reduction in temperature of 16°C for the insulation by thatch were obtained. It is the insulation of the sheet roof by an insulator which is the best technique of cooling.
