Abstract

This article is part of a series of taxonomic monographs of families occurring on fragments of Atlantic Forest from Usina São José, Igarassu, Pernambuco. It presents treatments of Picramniaceae (Picramniales) and of two families of Sapindales: Rutaceae and Simaroubaceae. Field trips were conducted between the years of 2007 and 2013. Local herbarium collections were also visited and analyzed. Seven species of Rutaceae were recognized: Conchocarpus insignis, Conchocarpus longifolius, Conchocarpus macrophyllus, Ertela trifolia, Esenbeckia grandiflora, Hortia brasiliana, and Zantoxylum rhoifolium. Simaroubaceae and Picramniaceae have a single species each, Simarouba amara and Picramnia gardneri subsp. septentrionalis, respectively. Descriptions, illustrations, comments on geographical distribution and an identification key are presented.
