Abstract

Lightweight concrete is usually one that has a smaller specific mass compared to conventional concrete, and just as conventional concrete lightweight concrete needs to have a technological control in its execution, it is one of the stages that is within the technological control of concrete is the healing process. The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the influence of three types of curing on lightweight concrete with EPS. For the present work a reference trait of Post-Reactive Concrete (CPR) was adopted, where 21 cylindrical specimens of 50x100mm dimensions were molded, 7 specimens for each type of cure evaluated in this study. The results showed that the thermal curing at 60 º C had the best performance in the light EPS concrete, because through this method a considerable increase of 9.03 MPa in the compressive strength was obtained.
