Abstract
A novel calixarene derivative with dipyrromethane moieties on the lower rim was prepared. NMR spectroscopy revealed a high selectivity towards sodium cations and the ability to bind ion pairs. © 2007 Verlag der Zeitschrift für Naturforschung,.
