Cloacal exstrophy

Abstract

Cloacal exstrophy is an extremely rare and complex congenital anomaly. The management of patients diagnosed prenatally and managed postnatally requires a multidisciplinary team consisting of pediatric urologists, pediatric surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and clinical psychologists as a core team with others brought in as necessary. The complexity of care means that this is best performed in a center that has significant experience in this condition. The management and outcomes will be discussed in this chapter.
