Abstract
Introduction: The use of oral communication effectively is a key factor in achieving success in both the personal and professional spheres. Oral communication in higher education is essential for the academic and professional development of students. Through oral communication, students can express their ideas, share knowledge, and even transfer it. Methodology. The objective of the study was to analyze the oral competence of the students of the ECOTEC University, for which a sample of 558 respondents was taken, through the application of Bayesian linear regressions proposed to relate ten proposed variables, identifying that men show greater oral skills. communication in several key areas, while women report better vocalization. The research report subscribes to the quantitative approach. Results. They were collected through a questionnaire. Discussion. The research developed could be a starting engine in the study that should continue and deepen to expand the existing knowledge in the communicative field; a contribution could be to use new instruments. Conclusion. The conclusion was reached that it is necessary to increase the use of oral communication as a socializing instrument for students and work on the comprehensive training of students to develop values, capacities and abilities so that they can successfully face the profession.
